I was very honored to have my short story “Payday at the Mountaineer’s Café” selected as First Prize in the 2019 Baby Boomers Plus Stories Through the Ages Contest by Living Springs Publishers.
‘Payday at the Mountaineer’s Café’ is about a little girl’s observations on an ordinary day at a café in the early 1960’s. Lindy tries very hard to make sense of the strange things adults say and do. Her perceptions, rooted in her innocence, are often funny and poignant.
